New Eagles edge rusher Jonathan Greenard is already feeling the championship energy in Philadelphia. In his introductory press conference, Greenard revealed a conversation with quarterback Jalen Hurts that has fans buzzing.
"Jalen texted me saying 'We're gonna get one,'" Greenard shared. "And it's not just talk. This is how everybody carries themselves around the building."
A Trade That Makes Sense
The Eagles acquired Greenard from the Vikings in exchange for a third-round pick this year and a third-round pick in 2027. It's a significant investment, but Greenard's production justifies it.
In 2024, Greenard was second in the NFL in total pressures. That's elite pass-rushing production that immediately upgrades an already talented defensive line.
Impressed by His New Teammates
Greenard couldn't hide his excitement about joining forces with the Eagles' stars.
"These are Super Bowl Champions, these are some All-Pros, and arguably one of the greatest tackles ever in Lane Johnson," he said. On Saquon Barkley: "A great running back." On Hurts: "That quarterback."
He summed it up perfectly: "Iron sharpens iron."
The Fit in Philadelphia
Greenard's attitude is exactly what plays in Philly. He told reporters, "I want to do the dirty work. I want to go against the best of the best."
Welcome to Philadelphia, Jonathan. The fans are going to love you.
